Justice Institute of British Columbia
PROJECT
This project involved the rebranding of a large, well-established educational institution and long-time client – the Justice Institute of British Columbia (JIBC). More than a logo re-design, this project required our thorough understanding of a complex organization. Latitude designed a coat of arms which positions JIBC as an important and progressive educational institution. At the centre is JIBC’s traditional graphic: the griffin, symbolizing justice. The slightly stylized griffin is holding a tree with nine roots that represents the tree of knowledge, with each root symbolizing one of JIBC’s divisions. The new identities are supported by Visual Identity Guidelines we created, which clearly explain the meaning, use, and specifications of each element of JIBC’s identity.
